Who is responsible for registration?
The owner of the premises must ensure that the prescribed information about the pool is entered on the Register. The owner can provide it directly through the Register or through the local authority.
What information is recorded?
The Regulation prescribes the property address, the type of pool and the type of premises. The Register can also hold certificates, inspection results and other information authorised under the Act.
Is registration proof of compliance?
No. Registration is an administrative record. A certificate of compliance follows an inspection by a local authority or registered certifier and can issue only when the pool is registered and meets the relevant requirements.
What does the certifier lodge?
The person or authority issuing the compliance certificate must ensure its details are entered on the Register. The Regulation requires compliant and non-compliant inspection information to be entered within three business days after inspection.
