The figure you are given is the figure you pay
Starting from is how one fee works across properties that are not identical. What matters is the number for your property, and you get that before you book, not on the day.
So you are not working from a guess, and you are not waiting for an invoice to find out.
If something minor turns up
Most small faults, we can sort out how to put right on the day, rather than turn into a second visit. Gate hardware, latch alignment and replacement signage are common examples.
If the pool then passes, the certificate can be issued without arranging another inspection.
What is separate from the fee
Structural fence work, replacement fence sections, significant building work and specialist trade work sit outside the inspection fee. If something larger is needed, I tell you what the issue is and what kind of tradesperson you need, so you can price it properly.
Compare what a fee includes
When you compare providers, ask whether the figure includes advice, certificate issue and register entry, what happens if another visit is needed, and how minor work on the day is handled. What matters is the cost of actually getting certified, not just the price to turn up once.

Is the certificate included in the fee?
Yes. The certificate is part of the fee whether the pool passes or not: a certificate of compliance if it passes, or a certificate of non-compliance with a written list of what needs attention if it does not. Either way you have it the same day I inspect.
What is not included in the fee?

Do I pay more if the pool does not pass?
The fee covers the inspection and the certificate that comes out of it, compliance or non-compliance. Repair work, a trade and anything that needs to be put right first are separate, and I set out what those options are before you commit to any of it.
Is registering my pool an extra charge?
No. Registering a pool on the NSW Swimming Pool Register is free and you can do it yourself. When your pool passes, I enter the certificate details on the register for you.
